SECRET STUFF MAR 31ST, 2012

SECRET STUFF MAR 31ST, 2012
BY

The appointees on the secret list are never elected,
Not very democratic, the way they are secretly selected,
Therefore the secret system of appointments should change,
Someone high up in Ottawa, should have the guts to rearrange.

Because appointees can have their secretly hidden agendas,
Secret stuff never mentioned in secret hidden memorandas,
Politicians might have to admit that they made a mistake,
But secret-list appointees never have to partake.

They are supreme aristocrats and can’t lie or be moved,
And absolutely nothing happens unless they approve,
God forbid that you are on the wrong side of one of their decisions,
You better rethink your actions and come up with some revisions.

THE SOFT SYSTEM MAR 30TH, 2012

THE SOFT SYSTEM Mar 30th, 2012

Why can’t we have capital punishment -- because of the pain?
It seems we live in a politically correct domain,
Where politicians with guts are unknown or extremely rare,
And secretly appointed High Court judges just don’t care.

So how do we get out from under their dominant control?
Where few go to jail and the others are mostly on parole,
Where the papers list the murders almost every week after week,
Where the soft judges and the system never get any critique.

And add legal aid to that and it seems they have a legal right,
All the way to the Supreme Court in their murder-legal-fight,
It doesn’t cost them a single penny but it costs us a lot,
Legal aid lawyers don’t come cheap and we are the ones who get caught.

WE CAN'T CHANGE MAR 29TH, 2012

WE CAN’T CHANGE Mar 29th, 2012
By

Lethal injections as capital punishment might be okay,
But Mulroney’s crowd cancelled that and we had to obey,
It’s on the long list among the things that that can’t be discussed here,
Like abortion clinics or death with dignity in this atmosphere.

Like binding referendums, judicial reviews or secret lists,
Where future appointed Ottawa aristocrats persist,
We should have mandatory voting for all Canadians now,
By social numbers with rules or be fined what the law allows.

We need set-date elections every fourth year on the fourth of June,
Elected by name – not party, religion, groups or commune,
Where are our politicians who should be screaming for this?
They’re busy in committee rooms just doing what they wish.

CANADIAN CHANGES MAR 28TH, 2012

CANADIAN CHANGES Mar 28th, 2012

We could have propositions, referendums and judicial reviews,
Though our permanent politicians would go into the blues,
Plus death with dignity and set-date elections every four years,
And elected Supreme Court so no need for their secret-list peers.

Then add proportional representation and voting with rules,
Vote by social numbers or finds at tax time for the no-voting fools,
These changes would probably mean a new improved constitution,
They could print this poem and go from there, to help in the solution.

I can almost hear the established aristocratic opposition,
As they scream for party coalition like a combat mission,
Then add the CBC plus the GST on every TV screen,
Looking for someone, anyone to stop this and intervene.

WRITE A NEW CONSTITUTION NOW MAR 27TH, 2012

WRITE A NEW CONSTITUTION NOW Mar 27th, 2012
By

We need to rewrite the Constitution and this time, get it right,
Compulsory voting and binding referendums in sight,
Ask questions because our secret appointee system can’t be right,
Especially strange left-wing appointees that give us a fright.

The weakness in our system is the secret-list season,
Unknown appointees to the Supreme Court for no apparent reason,
Therefore, they don’t want binding referendums like the Swiss,
This type of democracy could interfere and they could get dismissed.

We need set-date elections every fourth year on the fourth of June,
Elected by name – not party, religion, groups or commune,
Where are our politicians who should be screaming for this?
They want to avoid binding referendums like the Swiss.

TORONTO IMMIGRANTS Mar 26th, 2012

It seems to me that the Irish and the Scottish have all but disappeared,
Replaced by Chinese ladies pushing babies as a career,
Peaceful placid place and just maybe we finally got it right,
Maybe somewhere up there, there’s a politician who is bright.

Now all we need is binding referendums just to make sure,
And mandatory voting for all, so nothing is obscure,
Voting for all senators and Supreme Court judges too,
Watch them carefully so that the system does not go askew.

Because every little organization is waiting in the wings,
They like themselves and have their ideas about who should be kings,
If we could get a subway to the airport, that would be grand,
We could avoid getting caught in what they have planned.

POLITICAL ADVICE MAR 25TH, 2012

POLITICAL ADVICE Mar 25th, 2012
BY

If your politician needs advice, here’s what you can say,
We need binding referendums and stop going astray,
We also need death with dignity so that we can die in peace,
Plus compulsive election voting and party agenda cease.

Bring back capital punishment by injection this time,
Compulsory sentences for homicides and pedophile crimes,
And Canadians vote for senators and Supreme Court appointees,
No need for that secret list or connected hidden sleaze.

And while we’re at it, get rid of Mulroney’s Goods and Services Tax,
And after all of that we can sit down and vote and relax,
And your politician can stay in Ottawa for the rest of his/her life,
Print this poem and read it in Parliament out loud without strife.

WHAT DO WE NEED?

WHAT DO WE NEED? MAR 23RD, 2012
BY

We live in the illusion that in Ottawa they care,
But with our optional voting system, we don’t have a prayer,
And with no referendums or death with dignity we should beware,
We travel along completely unconcerned and unaware.

I’m sitting here trying to figure out how to improve this land,
How to get free from tax-and-spend politicians and feel grand,
We need compulsive voting and referendums and we have to change,
Unfortunately bureaucrats think that these ideas are strange.

How do we get someone to change the constitution soon?
We need compulsory voting or be fined – we are not a commune,
We need binding referendums to keep politicians in check,
And death with dignity or we might turn into a wreck.

STAY QUIET Mar 22nd, 2012

Why can’t we just write a new law and change things around right now?
Get binding referendums and death with dignity somehow?
Or do we have to wait for a loud voice from heaven to sound?
Will our Ottawa politicians in committee rooms come around?

Why can’t we vote for the secret-list Supreme Court appointees?
Are these aristocrats so high up that we have to appease?
How do we go about getting a new constitution soon?
Are these changes banned like in an old communist commune?

Could we have death with dignity as we wait quietly to die?
Has a non voting Canadian ever caused a hue and cry?
Are we so politically correct we can’t even think?
Will computers be banned soon to shut down any Internet link?

CANADA NOW Mar 21st, 2012
BY

It’s a sign that our society has gone to the loo,
When you see beautiful young ladies wearing weird tattoos,
And others enroute to the abortion clinic killing place,
We should have a law that forbids these kinds of terrible disgrace.

We have to realize and emphasize that we are just passing through,
And soon enough we’ll be dead like the others, right on cue,
And we can’t rearrange this schedule or the time when to die,
Though they can in Switzerland and Oregon when death is nigh.

But it’s not our Supreme Court to blame so much as it is us,
You and me and we can’t kick up a fuss or even discuss,
We have no binding referendums, so we can’t rearrange,
We have only Trudeau’s Charter and we don’t think it’s strange.
