THE SECRET LIST NOV 20TH, 2011

THE SECRET LIST Nov 20th, 2011
By

Supreme Court judges appointed from an extremely secret list,
Who makes this list, who writes the names, who get’s kissed and who gets pissed?
Who gets the big bucks and who gets to wear the red Santa Clause clothes?
Are they so high up, that no one can even think that we could oppose?

The whole affair is so sacred; it must be secretly discussed,
In hidden places far away behind closed doors with those they trust,
Is it like some religious affair with their fancy red gowns?
Do they have chanting music and some other strange holy sounds?

Why do they appear like members of some secretive hidden cult?
Wearing those funny Santa Clause suits like some strange occult
Or is this a silent scream that we should elect our High Court?
Is there a political party that might give this some support?

DEATH WITH DIGNITY PLEASE NOV 20TH, 2011

DEATH WITH DIGNITY PLEASE Nov 20th, 2011
By

I would prefer to die on my own terms, when, where and how I like,
Politicians and pompous priests get upset and take a hike,
This is serious stuff I know and should be openly discussed,
Because eventually everyone we know will die and can’t adjust.

I don’t care whose jurisdiction this affair comes under,
Though certain activists may call this whole thing a blunder,
Dictatorial Supreme Court decisions about death should change,
And they should not think about euthanasia as very strange.

This affair has been in and out of Canadian courts for years,
The Sue Rodriguez case with Lou Gehrig’s disease led to tears,
The State of Oregon already has death with dignity, so why can’t we?
These judges should do something soon where we can all agree.

CANADIAN INDIGNITIES Nov 19th, 2011

They called it a triumph of science over ideology,
Their Insite clinic for drug addicts and their methodology,
As they pump out their criminal propaganda every day,
And with their appointed Supreme Court decision, they shout hooray.

They were appointed to the Supreme Court but what does that mean?
We didn’t elect them, don’t even know them and we’re not too keen.
Isolated Supreme Court making decisions in the sky,
Dressed up in red Santa Clause suits and we don’t know why.

And we have no binding referendums to bring about change,
We are not told about referendums and why should that be strange?
No proportional representation or death with dignity,
Senators and judges can’t be elected with indignities.

ELECTED JUDGES NOV 18TH, 2011
By

Canadians are merely observers who seldom if ever vote,
In a system developed to keep them on political remote,
Where appointee judges are not elected so what’s expected?
They must owe something to someone for no need to be elected.

With no set-date elections; things can be avoided and delayed,
But with set-date elections, our politicians can’t evade,
Why is the idea of electing judges never said?
Why do our politicians and media have such a dread?

There are no politicians with the guts to make the change,
And those in Ottawa are very reluctant to rearrange,
Because the appointed Supreme Court has all the power,
Politicians couldn’t close the Insite clinic and had to cower.

THEIR NAMES IN THE PAPERS Nov 17th, 2011

Our nanny gutless affairs, soft courts and welfare activist state,
Where we the real people can never get involved in a debate,
We have little or no input in government affairs
No binding referendums or plebiscites and no one cares?

Where criminals seem to have rights and their victims don’t count,
Where capital punishment is banned and not taken into account,
Where publication bans are a common and frequent occurrence,
And soft sentences handed out are never a deterrence.

Society could be protected by keeping them in jail,

Less than half Canadians vote and few see a problem here,
Is this political correctness or suicide so have a beer,
Because our politicians have been told not to worry,
And the Supreme Court runs the place and they’re not in a hurry.

Politicians were stopped when they tried to shut down Insite clinic,
By the dictates of the Supreme Court and don’t you be a cynic,
You can’t question their Constitution and it can’t be changed,
It’s not correct to think that the system might be rearranged.

We are in the process of doing it to ourselves right now,
We are our own worst enemy so bend at the waist and bow,
And please don’t ask any questions and no constitutional probe.

HOW HELPLESS ARE WE? Nov 15th, 2011
BY

Canadians have the assumption that we have it right,
Tax-and-spend politicians can’t be questioned because we’re polite,
Less than half of us bother to vote and no one seems to care,
And the other half are convinced that nothing can change in this affair.

And without set-date elections, the future is not well known,
Where proportional representation might be discussed with a groan,
Where governor general and Supreme Court judges are appointed,
And senators too, secretly appointed and no disappointment.

Why are we so reluctant to vote or to change things around?
Denied death with dignity or the Supreme Court will clamp down,
Where do we get the leadership that will change the constitution?
And maybe then, close an Insite clinic in another solution.
