The needle exchange program is good, they say, but not good enough,
The drug-injection site advocates want to pull off another bluff
And we the people will learn to love it, believe it or not,
We're so politically correct, we can't believe this odd plot.

We watch and listen to the injection-sites program in motion,
And our politicians don't seem to want to make a commotion,
The drug addicts will buy their illegal drugs somewhere on the street,
From a criminal drug dealer who tries to look discreet.

It prevents HIV and other diseases the advocates say,
So they'll continue in broad daylight to Toronto's dismay,
Surely a symptom that we or the world is mentally ill,
But too many politicians seem extatic about this thrill.
