Members of Parliament should be allowed certain independence, 

Instead of being in lock step and completely party dependent,

We need binding referendums and compulsory voting days,

Because medically-assisted death is hidden and there it stays.

The present arrangement for the Senate should be abolished,

Elect senators instead of then having the place demolished,

Tell those waiting until they are seventy five, to stay home,

Tell new elected Senators to stick to business and no need to roam.

These ideas are democratic though disliked by those in power,

They want to continue looking down from their ivory tower,

We could do it if we could find someone to rewrite the constitution,

Get the Queen to sign it and that could be our solution.
