PROVINCIAL DEATH WITH DIGNITY ….Aug 8th, 2014

Canadians have been banned and can't arrange when or where to die,
By our Supreme Court dressed in red and no one really knows why,
Half the world has death-with-dignity now but we are not allowed,
We can't even ask about this and we better keep our heads bowed.
Because the issue is so rigid; we have to keep quiet and behave,
No matter how sick you are as you slowly go to your grave,
Sue Rodriguez found out the hard way about dying in pain,
Trapped with Lou Gehrig's disease; she couldn't even complain,
The Province of Quebec has it but they tend to speak French,
Maybe its our lack of French that puts us down in a trench,
Because for an unknown reason we just can't get what we want,
While the province that has death-with-dignity can flaunt.
