If the parole boards decide to let many more prisoners free,
And there's nothing we can do as they throw away the key,
Murderers, cop killers, pedophiles -- it doesn't matter to them,
Their righteous independent decisions cannot be condemned.

Transparent government is what politicians try to avoid,
Access to prisoner information is denied and they act annoyed,
The dilemma of giving pardons to pedophiles should be stopped,
Decisions to release brutal cop killers should be chopped.

We have to get back on track or we're going down the drain,
Though left-wing politicians don't seem to notice our severe pain,
Where's the politician to stand up and shout every detail?
Will the gruesome parole board decisions continue to prevail?

If you meet a released pedophile or cop killer on the street,
They're released by the parole board so remember to be discreet,
This may be difficult so you will have to use some self control,
The law is very much on their side in their released prisoner role.

In fact they probably have many more Charter Rights than you,
Though Ottawa politicians would deny that this is true,
So watch your back because Ottawa is not on your side,
Why else would they release cop killers and pardon pedophiles?

Other prisoners saw this and of course, they too want to be free,
And their prison records are secret and can't be read by you or me,
There are other thousands of prisoners just waiting to be released,
No one gets punished any more like pompous pedophile priests.

I'm trying to figure out how to get rid of parole boards,
Because they seem to have turned into semi religious hoards,
Making wrong decisions and setting cop killer criminals free,
Behaving like lords of the manor as far as we can see.

Because no one can question their independent decisions,
Like dictator politicians where we can't have revisions,
While cop killer murderers and pedophiles walk the street,
These days Canadians don't know for sure who they might meet.

We need a constitutional conference to get out of this soup,
Only for all Canadians -- not every organized group,
Get compulsory votingand binding referendums for all,
Proportional representation too so that we don't have to crawl.

Canada should have binding referendums in the Charter,
Like Switzerland where the people can show that they are smarter,
But our politicians would jump up and down and shout and scream,
Because this could be compared to taking away a kids ice cream.

We could have a binding referendum to change parole boards,
Make them responsible to the public and not act like lords,
Referendum to pick senators or Governor General,
Not likely to happen if we have a government that's Liberal.

If you meet a freed cop killer because he's out and he's free,
You better hope that he's changed his ways or go hide up a tree,
All caused by our parole board independent decisions,
While we are helpless and powerless to ask for revisions.

Prime Minister Harper we need someone to take a stand,
About parole board bureaucracy in this Canadian land,
Allowing convicted cop killers and pedophiles out of jail,
And the soft justice system that tends to give them all easy bail.

Prime ministers come and prime ministers go but few leave a mark,
Please give us binding referendums or we might stay in the dark,
Make it a legal obligation for Canadians to vote,
Or some released cop killer could have one of us by the throat.

How far down this road can we go and still be quiet and discreet?
When we meet known cop killers or pedophiles on the street?
Between bishops, bureaucrats and Ottawa, we've gone astray,
Give us binding referendums and make this torture go away.

Our politicians are busy travelling the world on our dime,
Can't be bothered with parole board problems at this moment in time,
Who cares if they let cop killers and pedophiles out of jail,
The constituents who are interested can send an e-mail.

Because Ottawa is far away and people just can't go there,
Therefore there is little or no feedback in this awful affair,
The churches are of course up to their necks in issues and trials,
For hundreds of years they knew the score and were into denials.

Canadians need a politician now who can change the rules,
Insert binding referendums in the constitution for us fools,
The released pedophile or cop killer that you meet on the street,
Is delighted with the parole board decisions and you could meet.

Cancel All Parole Boards 12

Are parole boards up there so high, they're almost as high as god?
Are they so powerful that we have to bow our heads and nod?
As they give pardons and releases to cop killers and pedophiles,
Pompously secretly as though unaware of their profiles.

Parole board bureaucratic decisions gone completely mad,
Graphic illustrations of a sour system that is so sad,
This predicament allows cop killers and pedophiles free,
Disregarded victims may be down on their knees making a plea.

Cop killers, pedophiles and other dangerous criminals first,
We the poor people seem unaware, downtrodden and cursed,
We need binding referendums to get out from under them,
Or we live beside cop killers and pedophiles, we can't condemn.
