NO RIGHT TO DIE Mar 7th, 2012
BY

I have every right in the world it seems, except the right to die,
Unborn babies at the abortion clinics never say good-bye,
They told Sue Rodriguez with Lou Gehrig’s disease where to go,
They banned euthanasia and binding referendums though.

They have euthanasia in Switzerland and several US states,
But here in Canada, this can’t even come up for debate,
This subject has to be whispered and not spoken out loud,
And we are so pure and perfect that we should all feel proud.

Our perfect politicians will set the program to be discussed,
We can’t see the empty seats on TV and can’t show disgust,
Our aristocrats are picked from a very secret hidden list,
You have no alternative but to accept and coexist.

LIKE THE SWISS APR 6TH, 2012

Could we get direct democracy; something like the Swiss?
Or is it; no changes from Ottawa; they’re afraid of the abyss,
Or is it the appointees from the exclusive secret list?
Dressed like Santa Clause where your suggestions are remiss?

But of course, you don’t know and you seldom even bother to vote,
You’re a politically correct Canadian and seldom take note,
You have Trudeau’s Charter of Rights like “EVERYONE” else in the world,
This has already caused ideas that are very disturbed.

No death with dignity or binding referendums please,
It’s completely against the law and considered quite sleazy,
So Canadians have to look in the mirror to see what’s wrong,
Can’t disturb no one or maybe listen to an old country song.

OLD MEN AT THE CEDARBREA PLAZA

The old men at the Cedarbrea Plaza
by
There’s something going on at the Cedarbrae Center.
I want to join in and not be a dissenter.
There’s a group of old men who are really excited,
I’m the same age; I’m concerned, but I’m never invited.
They speak a strange language from far far away,
Smoking with gestures excited as they push to convey.

Are they Greeks, Italians, Turks, Jews or Serbs,
Discussing with twisted vowels and tarnished verbs?
A plot, a plan, a revolution, a war or a riot?
Whatever it is; it’s not being done on the quiet.
What lives did they live what things did they see?
To cause such excitement to the highest degree?

There’s one who stands smart and struts his stuff,
Waves his hands in gestures like he’s had enough.
There’s a tall one who leans to catch every word,
And a small one straight from theater of the absurd.
There’s one who seems to whisper, not to be heard,
And another who looks like a proper little nerd.

What could it be, they’re so excited about?
They’ve been plotting for years, day in and day out.
There’s nothing that exciting happens around here.
No war no riots no revolution and nothing to fear.
I think I’ll sit down and watch from a distance,
In case something happens and they need my assistance.

WHAT CHANGES MAR 3RD, 2012

WHAT CHANGES? Mar 3rd, 2012
By

Canadian binding referendums are strictly forbidden,
Not mentioned in Trudeau’s Charter so no need for a decision,
And why should you care; you didn’t even bother to vote,
But never mind because a machine in Ottawa will take note.

If you manage to make it to the secret list, then you’re okay,
Instant aristocrat announced with lots of pomp and big display,
They’re going to form a committee where nothing will be discussed,
So look straight faced and never reflect any of our disgust.

Controversy is frowned upon by secret-list appointees,
They’ve got it made so why do anything with no guarantees?
Ottawa aristocrats decide what’s right or what’s wrong,
Infallible legal decisions and you have to go along.

THE NEXT CANADIAN CONSTITUTION MAR 2ND 2012

The next Canadian Constitution Mar 2nd, 2012

By

When we write the next constitution, this is what we need,
Binding referendums and set-date elections every fourth year,
Constitution only for Canadians in Canada – not agitators,
Then elect Governor General, Supreme Court and senators.

Canadians have a right to vote but less than half of us do,
And those who were elected or appointed; only a few knew,
Set-date elections should be part of the electoral scene,
And everyone should have to vote who is over sixteen.

Compulsory voting or a fifty-dollar fine at tax time,
So you get a receipt number to write to avoid a crime,
This is simple stuff so why is it so difficult to arrange?
The high Ottawa aristocrats want nothing to change.

Cannot arrange when and where to die and I don’t know why,
Decisions from the Supreme Court up in the Ottawa sky,
But you can kill your unborn baby any day of the week,
We may be completely crazy but why are we also so weak?

HIGH COURT MAR 1ST, 2012

HIGH COURT Mar 1st, 2012
BY
JAMES BREDIN

Our Supreme Court dressed in red and white look very very strange,
Gave us abortion clinics and Insite clinic where conduct arranged,
They told Sue Rodriguez with Lou Gehrig’s disease that she could die,
But she would have to wait till it killed her and didn’t say why.

They seem to rule our land with a very authoritative hand,
Where death with dignity and binding referendums are banned,
Where government doesn’t have much because of Supreme Court rule,
This is not Switzerland or Oregon where referendums are cool.

Like you, I don’t know much about them or even their names,
They’re appointed from a very secret list and now they have dames,
I thought they might improve after that but apparently no,
Government tried to close the Insite Clinic but they said, “Kowtow.”
