I'd like to delay as long as possible the date I will die,
With some horrible painful disease so you can see why,
So death with dignity should be available to us all,
Though our Supreme Court disagree up in their assembly hall.



We should admit that we don't have all the answers to life and death,
And eventually we are all going to lie down and take our last breath,
So you too are involved in this up to your eyes and can't escape,
Maybe you think it can't happen because you're in such great shape.



Supreme Court told Sue Rodriguez she had no death with dignity.
No way in their Canadian holier than thou community,
So we are more or less trapped by rules as we slowly approach death,
We are stuck and can't change the rules so you do the math.
