Mister prime
minister: we’re still waiting for some real change,
I know. I know,
you’re busy and it’s difficult to arrange,
Think death with
dignity and binding referendums please,
Form a large
committee and fill it with legal expertise.
You don’t have to
call an election until the time is right,
No set-date
elections or proportional representation in sight,
Taxing and spending
and travelling on a par with Joe Clark,
We expected more
from you than someone groping in the dark.
Think compulsory
voting and how to change Trudeau’s Charter,
Just for Canadians
please and not the world, Stephen Harper,
Because some day you
will be remembered for what you did,
I want to name the
many predecessors that you outdid.
