A SUBJECT NEVER DISCUSSED … MAY 6TH, 2013

This is one subject that is seldom if ever discussed,
Priests and ministers and bishops get to show their disgust,
Death-with-dignity is not tolerated from a pulpit sermon,
Nor is it tolerated in the Ottawa establishment version.
Why are terribly sick humans denied a dignified death?
Sick with Alzheimer’s disease, look like taking their last breath,
Others with chronic degenerative diseases that defy,
Lou Gehrig’s disease as Sue Rodriguez had to suffer and die.
Dogs and cats are put down when the time is right and sickness bad,
The Society for the prevention of cruelty helps though this is sad,
But our government is set in their ways, so we have to suffer,
No death-with-dignity allowed for you or any sick old duffer.
