TORONTO SUBWAY FEB 29TH, 2012

Toronto Subway Feb 29th 2012
By

Can’t have a subway to the airport because no one knows the way,
At least that’s the indication that Toronto politicians sometimes say,
Can’t go under houses or roads or highways because they don’t like,
The whole thing is not politically correct so just take a hike.

Or don’t go at all and instead just stay home and watch TV,
Mayor Ford wants a subway but politicians disagree,
Common sense indicates we need lots more subways and soon,
Preferably but not likely, before the next full moon.

So Mayor Ford please keep doing what you and your brother are doing,
It doesn’t matter if the media moguls are misconstruing,
Don’t let those left wing oddball politicians influence you,
Just keep doing what you’re doing and put the subway through.

CANADIAN RIDDLES Feb 28th, 2012
By

Politicians and aristocrats in Ottawa want to stay there,
They are indeed part of this very strange political affair,
We have no set-date elections because it’s not allowed,
We have no death with dignity but everyone feels proud.

We have no binding referendums but we do have secret lists,
Unknown Supreme Court powerful appointees that we can’t resist,
Suddenly dressed in red and white making life and death decisions,
And they cannot make a mistake and we can’t have our suspicions.

They refused us death with dignity and imposed abortion clinics,
Where unborn babies are put to death in a holocaust by cynics,
Then Insite drug-addict clinics with lots of free needles,
Am I the only Canadian left who ponders these riddles?

SECRET APPOINTEE LIST FEB 27TH, 2012

SECRET APPOINTEE LIST Feb 27th, 2012
BY

If the list is so secret; who gets preference and why?
Is it sex, color, religion, name, race, education or can they buy?
Are Canadians so subservient that we cannot think these thoughts?
Is this what the politically-correct media moguls have taught?

If we could elect them; we wouldn’t need a secret list,
Why are the Ottawa aristocrats so opposed to this?
Is it public input into their old system that they fear?
Is this poem on the Internet, something that no one will hear?

Why are these types of problems always kept completely out of sight?
Kept hidden like the secret lists, to the aristocrats’ delight,
Secret political issues not allowed out in daylight,
To protect those embedded in the establishment from getting a fright.

WE NEED TO GET LUCKY FEB 26TH, 2012

WE NEED TO GET LUCKY Feb 26th, 2012
BY

Stephen Harper, we need to get lucky and soon, for a change,
Compulsory voting and binding referendums; so please arrange,
And don’t sidestep in Chretien-Mulroney-Clark type of sleaze.
We need someone in charge up in far-away Ottawa, please.

Your predecessors didn’t do or say anything we can quote,
No referendums or death with dignity or compulsory votes,
We will get lucky if you can impose these changes soon,
Even after you leave, your name will be up there with the moon.

And while you’re at it; think pompous Supreme Court changes too,
If we could vote for them, you wouldn’t need a secret-list stew,
I realize that Trudeau’s Charter lawyers are banging at the door,
And unfortunately you too will eventually say au revoir.

NO CHANGES ALLOWED  Feb 25th, 2012
BY

Though death with dignity and binding referendums denied,
And we cannot question that maybe we’re being taken for a ride,
Because we the people are ignored as though we don’t exist,
Because Ottawa bureaucrat aristocrats always persist.

How dare you suggest that maybe government stuff should change,
Have you no honor or pride because change cannot be arranged,
Because death with dignity and binding referendums are forbidden,
And this poem of yours on the Internet, will have to stay hidden.

How did the State of Oregon and Washington get death with dignity?
Will we forever have to accept our Supreme Court indignity?
Those who denied Sue Rodriguez with Lou Gehrig’s disease, her out,
They gave us a holocaust of aborted babies to think about.

LOOK HAPPY FEB 24TH, 2012

Why is it that less than half Canadians bother to vote?
And we are still treated and taxed like a herd of mountain goats,
Why can’t we have binding referendums when we vote, like the Swiss?
Why do media moguls never mention that there’s something amiss?

So Stephen Harper, please do something while you have a chance,
And not another Chretien-Mulroney type of Liberal dance,
Compulsory voting and binding referendums so we can win,
Quebec had a referendum; Canada should too -- not a sin.

Then rearrange that secret-list very strange Supreme-Court crowd,
Insite clinics, abortion clinics and no death with dignity allowed,
Unfortunately I know that these are merely words in the wind,
I should shut down this computer and look happy though confined.

Can't Arrange to Die Feb 22nd, 2012

By

For some reason, we are not allowed to arrange when to die,
Some Supreme Court types decided and I don't know how or why,
We have no binding referendums so we can't interfere,
But they have these in Switzerland and have very little to fear.

They can arrange this in Washington and Oregon and other states,
But Canadians can't even show that things have gone desperate,
The aristocrats in Ottawa rule this land – not the politicians,
Their friendly media moguls seldom mention these conditions.

Same judges allowed doctors to kill unborn babies every day,
Abortion clinic holocaust and women don't have to pay,
They told Sue Rodriguez with Lou Gehrig's disease she could not die,
They also allowed the Insite Clinic so drug addicts could drop by.

Sad Seniors' Building Feb 21st 2012

I delivered the petite package to Poundstone Manor,
Signature from the receptionist on my delivery scanner,
And I looked around going out the front door,
At the pictures and the benches and the fancy décor,
I saw all these old girls just sitting and waiting,
No talk, no gossip, no laughter and one even shaking.

None of them seemed interested in talking,
Lost in their memories of when they went walking,
It was only an instant and it all looked quite sad,
But the saddest of all was no men to be had.
Where were the old men who had courted these girls?
When their hair was long and not short and in curls?

APPOINTMENTS TO OUR SUPREME COURT

Appointment to the Canadian Supreme Court
by
Where does she come from; somewhere over there;
Near the pizzeria at Dufferin and St Clair.
They say she knows English or maybe it is French,
And now she’s been appointed to the Supreme Court Bench.

She took a course at night school two years ago today,
She’s politically correct and made the secret list that way.
She has a hidden agenda and belongs to certain groups.
These multicultural activists types have several known kooks.

And now dear sir, your questions; they’re causing certain strife.
She’s a single mother with connections and her appointment is for life.
That’s all you’re allowed to know and that law’s written down,
And soon she’ll be wearing that red and white gown.

What do you mean, she doesn’t stand for anything at all?
She has a paper from night school hanging on her wall.
How much does it take to decide a Charter case?
A red gown and a stool and a scowl on your face.

She’s at home right now reading the Charter.
She says it covers everyone - terrorists or martyrs,
Her appointment is final; Canadians if you please,
With no referendums or death with dignity so get on your knees.

A GREAT GUY I KNEW Feb 19th, 2012
BY

I’m sorry to say this now but he was once a great friend of mine,
Till they gave him stripes and at first everything seemed normal and fine,
But he was one of those guys who seriously changed with rank,
As though he was up there somewhere beside god, to be quite frank.

Or as though he was an aristocrat and you were just common,
Though like me, he too came from a small town County Roscommon,
Which made his pompous delusions of grandeur hurt all the more,
Words not spoken now as though we were never friends before.

Why is it that some people, when given rank, become quite aloof?
Full of themselves; which tends to emphasize their stupidity as proof,
Is this what happens to dictators over in the Middle East?
Were they once normal till they got rank and began to feast?
