Provincial litigation could solve death-with-dignity now,
They did it in Quebec and it didn't cause a political row,
They turned it into a provincial issue that no one had to fear,
Health issues are provincial so this should be clear.
Ontario is having a provincial election now,
Death with dignity never mentioned and not allowed,
They say it's federal and the High Court has forbidden,
Like they said to Sue Rodriguez when her wishes were overridden.
None of our politicians will talk about medically assisted death,
As if it is forbidden, that we should be helped on our last breath,
The pompous politically correct and all religions oppose,
Why they are so opposed, no one really knows.
