Why should Quebec have medically assisted death and we don't?
Politicians just will not allow us to have it -- they just won't
And what should we, could we or can we do about this affair?
Those of us who may die in pain; might eventually beware.
Medically assisted death is just forbidden and not discussed,
The high-ups might look down on you with utter disgust,
They want you to go away and pretend that nothing has changed,
Because medically assisted death cannot be arranged.
Maybe they think that they themselves will never die,
And as strong party members, they never need to ask why,
As they told Sue Rodriguez, the Supreme Court is on their side,
Democracy does not come into play and we're along for the ride.
