Medically assisted death has been banned by Canadians in power
Although this might make extremely sick people feel quite sour
And we only have elections maybe every five years,
And those who are dying in severe pain, have certain fears.
Therefore we can't change our politicians often enough,
And without binding referendums; this can be pretty rough,
We can't get it through their heads that we need change and soon,
And we don't want to have to wait forever till the next blue moon.
This subject is probably banned in parliament and high places,
It was never mentioned except in one of Sue Rodriguez's cases,
Why can't Canadians bring these changes about?
Why do we have politicians who refuse and are never in doubt?
