OUR POLITICIANS WANT TO STAY … JULY 4TH, 2014

Political parties avoid medically-assisted death,
Most religions, organizations and churches too, to our regret,
But half of Europe, Quebec and seven US States have it now,
Still forbidden in Ottawa because it might cause a row.
Why do we know about these changes but can’t bring them about?
Why do we have politicians who refuse and are never in doubt?
Is it their party that tells them what to think and say and do?
Is that because they are obedient or don't have a clue?
Things not said are often more important than what is said,
This is why death-with-dignity is an issue they want to put to bed,
And those concerned about their deaths, should just shut up and go away,
Don't make an issue out of this because politicians want to stay.
