Apparently death and taxes are the only sure things in life,
But before death we could have lots of long term pain and strife,
There is no silver lining, no matter what they say about death,
And that date gets closer until you eventually take your last breath.



And then it get’s worse because this is not politically correct,
Politicians avoid this subject as if it might bring disrespect,
And their deaths are far in the future so there’s no need for concern,
The subject is therefore hidden and we’re not allowed to learn.



The obituaries say that most die with their families all around,
Therefore we should all be happy in this common exit ground,
If you believe that lie, then I’ve got some deathbed news for you,
Canadians should be entitled to euthanasia in my view.
