American and Canadian cultures are just about the same,
The same songs, TV programs and much the same Christian names,
This could be good or bad but politicians want someone to blame,
About delays at the border, long waits inclined to inflame.
Both countries have allowed in too many unusual types,
Strange people came to Canada and the land of stars and stripes
With strange names and strange dress and very strange attitude,
Demanding all types or rights with absolutely no gratitude.
Am I the only one who noticed this; that we may have gone astray?
Or have we gone politically correct in what we can or can’t say?
Are we stuck or can we do something to get out of this mess?
Do we have one politician who acknowledges this distress?
