BINDING REFERENDUMS ARE FORBIDDEN
By
James Bredin

We are caught by political events beyond our control,
From Kyoto to Copenhagen with no public opinion poll,
And no binding referendums have ever been allowed,
While we look on helplessly, silent and not very proud.

Which is a reason we should have binding referendums soon,
It's what Canadian people should have at the first opportune,
I think that journalists who write about this are told to stop,
Or their career as a journalist could end and they could be a flop.

Therefor, other than Switzerland, binding referendums are nowhere,
You wont find it in your newspapers so you have no need to stare,
And don't mention this anywhere because it's likely forbidden,
You can't change the system so they just keep referendums hidden.
