Can Ottawa isolated bureaucracies do anything they like?
Is this how the parole boards can make decisions we dislike?
Do isolated Ottawa politicians know we exist?
How did the parole boards get so much power that we missed?

Who gave them permission to let cop killers out of jail?
Bending the justice system to the breaking point on such a scale,
Does the prime minister know or care that this is going on?
Thought he was on our side -- someone we could count upon.

If we had binding referendums we could wake Ottawa up,
The Swiss have them plus four languages and no breakup,
Someone somewhere somehow should be able to figure this out,
We need someone in Ottawa on our side with some clout.
