ELECTED CANADIAN SENATORS June 8th, 2011

Canadian senators are appointed rather than elected,
Some of these unknown appointees don’t deserve to be selected,
So we need to change this system and the sooner the better,
Or maybe we could put out a request for change on twitter.



But our politicians and sycophants want things to remain the same,
An appointment could set them up for life with a fancy name,
So nothing should change they claim because they have the inside track,
Connections here and there with the ruling political pack.



And you are just a number somewhere at the bottom down below,
You can’t speak French, have no political drag, so you kowtow,
And you don’t know if or when someone might bring about change,
You are not even allowed to think that all this might be strange.
