MY OLD COMRADES … Dec 8th, 2012

By

Many of my old comrades are still lost in nineteen sixty four,
When secretaries used typewriters in an office near the door,
So the keyboard was unknown by my old comrades back then,
This was never mentioned by those who used a ballpoint pen.

So when computers arrived; they didn’t bother to adjust,
They just stood back, looked on and hid their slight disgust,
They are still there, though computers now rule world affairs,
E-mail address is never mentioned and shake their heads like; who cares?

They are retired now so there’s still no reason to change,
The fact that they don’t have an e-mail address is not strange,
As far as they are concerned; it’s still nineteen sixty four,
Why bother to adjust to all this modern stuff that they ignore?
