CAN’T BE FIXED   May 18th, 2012
BY

Our politicians go to Ottawa and then they disappear,
We might see them on TV but otherwise not for many years,
Without binding referendums we are more or less helpless,
Indeed Ottawa aristocrats might often seem heartless.

We can’t have death with dignity according to the Supreme Court,
Like Sue Rodriguez in serious pain, our lives could be cut short,
Though we have abortion clinics in any and all directions.

Proportional representation is not considered up there,
Not even if we all get on our knees and said a prayer,
And Supreme Court judges come from a very secret list,
We can’t find out how or where or when no matter how we persist.

MESSAGE TO PRIME MINISTER HARPER MAY 17TH, 2012

Message to Prime Minister Harper     May 17th, 2012
By

This is a message to Prime Minister Stephen Harper please,
Since you are the best prime minister we’ve had in many years,
We need proportional representation, which is overdue,
We need binding referendums to help us out of this stew.

I know you’re a busy man taking every opportune,
But we need elected senators and Supreme Court judges soon,
I know the hierarchy and aristocrats oppose these proposals,
And only they feel they should have these as their disposal.

And if you have the time, we need compulsory voting rules,
With a mandatory twenty-dollar fine for non-voting fools,
You may never see this poem and think maybe I’m out of my mind,
But I’m at http://euthanasialegal.blogspot.com if you feel inclined.

WHERE IS DEMOCRACY? MAY 16th, 2012

WHERE IS DEMOCRACY?     MAY 16th, 2012
BY

Drug addicts getting injection sites is a demonstration,
That we the people are approaching an awful situation,
Are we merely numbers being manipulated and we can’t complain?
As though we were locked down by a politically correct chain.

Are these decisions ever opened up for public debate?
Or has this, like the abortion clinics, been a dictate?
Is this democracy or does that come into play in this affair?
Does anyone anywhere even think about this or even care?

Could we be compared to Sue Rodriguez, pleading for help?
Where no one, absolutely no one, is allowed to let a yelp,
Does anyone know or does anyone care if something is wrong?
And if we can’t change anything; how long can this go on?

NO CHANGES ALLOWED    MAY 15TH, 2012
BY

Our holocaust of helpless unborn babies and no one cares,
Maybe some do but they’re not allowed to be involved in these affairs,
We don’t seem to be bothered much by the abortion clinics,
As though we had all turned into complacent obedient cynics.

And when the three free drug-addict injection sites arrive,
Free needles but no free drugs yet in this drug-activist drive,
We can’t have binding referendums because that could interfere,
With the wrong decisions from high places announced without fear.

They refused Sue Rodriguez’s wish in all their absurdity,
No set-date elections and no compulsory voting rules,
Therefore nothing much changes for us obedient fools.

OUR BLINDSIDE MAY 14TH, 2012

OUR BLINDSIDE    May 14th, 2012
BY

They would interfere with the idea of absolute rule,
Sure the Swiss have them but what do they know?
Except that is never necessary to kiss up or kowtow.

How would we go about electing our appointed senators?
And also our appointed governor general executors,
Who should make such a bold proposition and where and how?
Would some politician or appointee say this is not allowed?

Could we have a plebiscite or are they forbidden too?
Or proportional representation or assisted suicide?
I feel I should apologize for what is on our blindside.

YOU CAN'T SCHEDULE YOUR DEATH

YOU CAN’T SCHEDULE YOUR DEATH

MAY 13TH, 2012

BY

The thing about dying is that we don’t know when or where or how,
We can’t have euthanasia because the Supreme Court won’t allow,
But they allowed abortion clinics on every second street,
And told Sue Rodriguez she had to die in pain and defeat.

I would like to schedule my death when I’m a hundred and two,
The Supreme Court does not agree with me but no doubt, you do,
If I live to be a hundred and two, I’ll let you know by e-mail,
Unless of course, I’m arrested for euthanasia and in jail.

Not mentioned in Trudeau’s Charter for our salvation,
Though they did mention the notwithstanding clause,
Has anyone even read it or is it just probable cause?

WHERE ARE WE GOING? MAY 12TH, 2012

WHERE ARE WE GOING?   MAY 12TH, 2012
BY

The notwithstanding clause was written to avoid Supreme Court control,
This might have something to do with a public opinion poll,
Some of our politicians were concerned even way back then,
And those forgotten politicians were extremely wise men.

Because it seems, that’s where we have arrived abysmally,
Sue Rodriguez was refused when she tried for death with dignity,
As abortion clinics kill unborn babies in unknown numbers,
And apparently we’ll soon have injection sites as one wonders.

But few bother to vote and nobody cares as we are led along,
Decisions made in high places could be right or could be wrong,
Forbidden binding referendums never see the light of day,
Where are we going, what are we doing, is difficult to portray.
