WHERE ARE WE GOING?   MAY 12TH, 2012
BY

The notwithstanding clause was written to avoid Supreme Court control,
This might have something to do with a public opinion poll,
Some of our politicians were concerned even way back then,
And those forgotten politicians were extremely wise men.

Because it seems, that’s where we have arrived abysmally,
Sue Rodriguez was refused when she tried for death with dignity,
As abortion clinics kill unborn babies in unknown numbers,
And apparently we’ll soon have injection sites as one wonders.

But few bother to vote and nobody cares as we are led along,
Decisions made in high places could be right or could be wrong,
Forbidden binding referendums never see the light of day,
Where are we going, what are we doing, is difficult to portray.
