NO DEATH WITH DIGNITY JULY 27TH, 2011

If we had death with dignity, we could plan the day we leave,
Unfortunately our politicians don’t talk and don’t believe,
And even if they did, they have no control of this zone,
The appointed Supreme Court said “No,” to Sue Rodriguez alone.
Though Switzerland and Oregon and Washington approve,
Our Supreme Court appointees refuse to make this crucial move,
Appointees running the country and they’re set for almost life,
Some Canadians go to Switzerland because of this strife.
And we can’t change the Charter or elect these appointees,
Our Ottawa aristocrats would be terribly displeased,
But eventually even they will come close to their deaths,
Is it possible they might change their minds before their last breaths?
