The phenomenon of pedophile priests was relatively unknown,
It’s only in the last few years we heard the hierarchy groan,
Because they were caught in their own conspiracies and deceit,
More criminal than the Mafia but much more discrete.
For more than a thousand years these conspiracies were hidden,
It was a sin to think about this and totally forbidden,
Puts Martin Luther and King Henry VIII in another light,
Will someone out there tell us how to get over this fright?
And what do we do now that pedophile priests have been exposed?
Even though some bishops in vestments seem to be still opposed,
Where’s the leadership out there to help us get back on track?
Has the whole religious world gone completely out of whack?
