The date and time of your death is in the future and can’t be changed,
Although in some countries and states, your death can be arranged,
Unfortunately Canadians haven’t figured it out yet,
Though many politicians and priests would prefer we forget.
Our Supreme Court told Sue Rodriguez that arranged-death was banned,
Though they allowed abortions from coast to coast to coast on demand,
We don’t think much about this until death comes knocking on the door,
This is in your future so it will be difficult to ignore.
And we are not allowed binding
referendums like the Swiss,
So it’s up to the Supreme Court whether to allow or dismiss,
Trudeau did not allow referendums in his Charter of Rights,
If we had referendums, we could arrange for last rites.
