The secret-list system is technically unknown but persists,
And party politicians agree that it’s not great but don’t resist,
Because they are all part of the Ottawa secretive system,
They’re not sure so they genuflect in their political wisdom.
Canadian appointed aristocrats reluctant to change,
No binding referendums allowed and why should this be strange?
While we the people are stuck in traffic listening to the CBC,
Then we don’t vote anyway and always watch hockey on TV.
It turns out that our secret-list appointees are not us,
We don’t know them, never heard of them and never made a fuss,
They refused Sue Rodriguez, who was sick, permission to die,
But allowed wall-to-wall holocaust baby clinics, we don’t know why.
