The Refugees Win
By
James Bredin

We seem helpless in the face of refugees arriving in ships,
Sending the navy out to meet them and finish their long trips,
As though we had an obligation not to rock the boat,
And therefore invite all refugees and anyone that's afloat.

As we demonstrate a complete lack of leadership all around,
No guts and can't stop a million or two refugees inbound,
We looked in the mirror and saw the enemy looking back,
Politically correct waiting for the next refugee pack.

Because we the people we have no input in places of power,
Where national decisions are made almost every hour,
We have no recall or binding referendums so no one cares,
Subservient believers in Trudeau's Charter so no one dares.
