Bankruptcy and the Church stash

Another paedophile priest was revealed in the papers today,
And if that’s not bad enough or worse, this one was also gay,
But these priests are urging the people to keep going to church,
Have to stay, can’t go away and leave the church in bankruptcy lurch.


Seven US dioceses have filed for bankruptcy protection,
It might be called a plague or a paedophile priest infection,
Eighty one Catholic churches closed in Boston alone,
Will hundreds of churches have to close down because priests don’t atone?

Two thousand years of bishops hiding priestly paedophile sins,
Does this horrible story end or does the church finally amend?
Though bankruptcy protection may avoid having to pay out cash
So victims of the paedophiles will not get their hands on the stash.
