Death with dignity

Death with dignity should be put to a Canadian vote,
In a binding referendum so our politicians can’t gloat,
If Switzerland can have them, Canada should have them too,
Avoid the agony of a long slow painful death can be true.



Our daily media avoid this subject like some terrible plague,
If they touch it at all, they are extremely partial and vague,
How can we change things so Ottawa will pay attention?
Are the various religions the cause of dissension?



Why should we the people be stuck in their party agenda?
Only allowed to be influenced by their propaganda,
We should have a system to initiate referendums,
Unfortunately we are caught in their party curriculiums.
