Will the Bishops Continue to Inspire?

I think the impact of paedophile priests has not come home yet,
We’re talking churches closing and dioceses’ bankruptcy debts,
Because still more horrible secret crimes are revealed every day,
As the righteous sanctimonious priests still say mass and pray.



When Pandora’s box was opened and paedophile priests revealed,
Crimes hidden by bishops for centuries and always concealed,
When priestly trust was broken it was impossible to restore,
Those once good Catholics refused to go to mass any more.



A thousand years of hidden paedophile indiscretion,
Hidden and never spoken like the secrets of the confession,
Is this the beginning of the end for this religious empire?
Or will the bishops continue to lie and still try to inspire?
