No Married Men Allowed

The priesthood seems to attract male homosexuals by the score,
This has been known for centuries but always ignored,
And men who are married to women need never apply,
Because they’re not considered the right priestly kind of guys.



But these days it seems as though chickens are coming home to roost,
Screaming victims of the pedophile priests who were seduced,
But still the employment rules can’t be changed for some unknown reason,
Despite the civil suits, the bankruptcies or empty church season.



And despite the many criminal pedophile priests exposed,
Plus centuries of crimes not reported and the books kept closed,
A heterosexual married man is not allowed to be a priest,
This ancient opposition to married men has not decreased.
