A Free Nation Maybe

As a free nation we seem to be going around the bend,
No one seems to notice as we politically correct pretend,
Because letting cop killers out of jail is not the way to go,
And worse; it's done quietly far away so few people know.

Therefore we need to change because this type of conduct can't go on,
Their policies and Charter talk seems like one big left-wing con,
Released vicious convicts may be good for lawyers but not for us,
Because we are the likely victims though we seldom make a fuss.

How can we influence events and bring about positive change?
And tell the soft-on-crime types that they will have to rearrange,
Are they not allowed to see the difference between right and wrong?
Do they care and how to give them an intellectual prong?
