The Release Act should be dropped
By
James Bredin

No one seems to have thought of opposing parole board decisions,
Nothing will be changed by these elites and there will be no revisions,
And Canadians are so subdued and Ottawa so far away,
To ask for changes in Ottawa is a sign you've gone astray.

It's all about the Corrections and Conditional Release Act,
No one read it and it seems as though common sense was hijacked,
Because the parole board has exclusive authority there,
We could ask for changes but no one has the guts to even dare.

Parole board hearings should not be allowed without the victim there,
And all the offender's records open for everyone to glare,
And the offender obliged to attend or future hearings stopped,
But still the complete Release Act should be deleted and dropped.
