Symptoms of a country going nuts

Addressing complaints about the victims of crime is not enough,
Responsibilities of the system for the victim are rough,
Painful negative issues for the victims of crime are discarded,
It's as though the victims of crime can be disregarded.

Because there are no victim advocates but offenders, have lots,
There are background decisions to help the offenders in these plots,
Transfers to lower security prisons seem no trouble for them,
Sometimes it seems as though it is the victim who is condemned.

The law that helps the offender should benefit the victim more,
But that means a new law and I can hear the left wing media roar,
To fix this mess, we need lots of politicians with lots of guts,
Otherwise we will soon have symptoms of a country going nuts.
