Why is all this so strange?

We lack the moral fibre to oppose the Parole Board with tact,
They use that strange Corrections and Conditional Release Act,
And use big nonsense words to release criminal prisoners from jail,
Quietly far away while they give many others pardons and bail.

Canada seems to be operating on a wing and a prayer,
While the secretive parole board carries on this strange affair,
They have exclusive authority under that strange Act,
Constantly releasing criminal convicts and that's a fact.

Trudeau's Charter can be claimed by convicts when they want out,
And their records can't be seen even if there is a doubt,
Buried in lawyer legalese; we are in a left wing mess,
But this is all secret stuff and nobody would dare confess.
